Recalls Expanded by Jardine for Cribs Sold by Babies “R” Us

Recently there have been many different products that have been recalled by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. Recently Jardine Enterprises along with the commission has announced a voluntary recall of Jardine Cribs. It is the recommendations of the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission that consumers immediately stop using the products mentioned above unless they are otherwise instructed.

The name of the products is that has been recalled is the “Jardine Cribs” which is manufactured by Jardine Enterprises of Taipei, Taiwan and the number of units currently being recalled is around 56,450 units. There were also around 320,000 units of the same product previously recalled in June of 2008.

There have been around 19 additional incidents that have been reported to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission in regards to slats on the crib breaking.  There have been 9 reports of children breaking the slats while in the crib. One report claimed a 22-month-old child fell through the gap in the slates when slate broke. However there have been no injuries reported up until this point.

The product was manufactured in China and was sold through KidsWorld, Geoffrey Stores, babiesrus,com, Toys “R” Us and Babies “R” Us stores nationwide between March 2004 through January 2009. The product sold usually between $220 and $330 US.

The recommendations set out by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission is that consumers stop using the recalled crib immediately and contact Jardine to receive a full credit towards the purchasing of new crib. If you have purchased a Jardine Crib that you think may be the product that is currently being recalled. There are many things that you are going to have to do; the first step is to get contact with Jardine Cribs as soon as possible. You will, of course, have to provide proof purchase as well as possibly give information about when and where you purchased the crib. Jardine Enterprises will be able to provide consumers with information about instructions for purchasing a new crib online or in retail stores. This is the best option for people that have purchased the recalled product. When it comes to resolving issues with recalled products the best thing that you can always do is take the recommendations of the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.
