If you take Prozac, pregnancy is not an option, unless the doctor can wean you off of the drug fist. It can do harm to your child's respiratory system. It is not worth the risk. Also, you can still experience intense suicidal thoughts. Your mental and physical state will also determine if your baby thrives. You especially do not want to risk losing weight. Prozac and pregnancy simply do not mix. If you are on the medication, consult your doctor before getting pregnant. Her or she can probably prescribe alternate treatments that will not harmfully affect the growth and development of your child.
