Paxil is a prescription medication that has been in use since 1992 for the treatment of a whole slew of mental health conditions, including depression, generalized anxiety, obsessive compulsive behavior, and major depressive disorders in adults. The drug’s makers regularly marketed the Paxil as non-habit forming, however, studies over the years have proven that stopping Paxil results in serious withdrawal symptoms in patients. Additionally, the drug, which has not been approved for use in children, but was tested, has shown a huge increase in the number of children taking suicidal actions while on Paxil.
