Lead Poisoning Symptoms

Lead poisoning symptoms may be a lot of seemingly unrelated signs, but added together they equal big trouble. Because children are still developing and more likely to touch lead and ingest it. Then, their developing brains are under attack. In 1978, it was found that lead based paint is a big problem, and the use of this paint was banned because children had learning difficulties, suffered mental disabilities, have nervous system damage, weakness, anemia, and so much more. Very high exposures can lead to kidney damage, coma, and possibly even death. While new buildings do not use lead based paint, children who live in older homes are still susceptible to lead poisoning. Of course, adults can suffer from sickness as well, but they are less likely to suffer toxic levels.
