Drug Mirapex

The drug Mirapex is most commonly used to treat the lack of dopamine in the brain that is inherent in persons suffering from Parkinson's Disease, although it may be prescribed to treat Restless Leg Syndrome, depression, and fibromyalgia in some cases, as well. As with any drugs, Mirapex has some common, less serious side effects, but there are also reports that Mirapex usage has led to major addictive and compulsive behaviors, such of which are life-threatening. As lawsuits continue to be filed regarding consumers who have been injured as a result of taking Mirapex, the most common claims are that Mirapex caused the consumers to embark upon life-altering compulsive behaviors such as gambling, eating, and sex to extreme degrees. Mirapex reportedly has caused uncontrollable sleepiness, as well; a study by the Mayo Clinic found that 20% of people taking Mirapex experienced extreme amounts of sleepiness that was uncontrollable, and which including falling asleep while driving.
