The laws are in place to look out for the interests of those that will be taking your medication. For example, if you know that the drug you are manufacturing to be dispensed by doctors and pharmacies has a dangerous side effect, you better make sure the information is included in the labeling. If you try to hide the information by simply neglecting to mention the problem, you can lose your proverbial shirt. If a patient is injuries or dies because you did not fully disclosed the pros and cons of a medication, your company will be held responsible.
